Job Description:
This is an Agile Coach role.

Agile Coach description: An Agile Coach actively coaches and supports product teams in agile adoption, scaling and maturity

• The Agile Coach will lead and coach the team in its adoption of agile, providing guidance to ensure effective application of agile values and principles and adherence to applicable standards in alignment with industry-standard agile methodologies
• The Agile Coach must have a sufficiently technical background in order to be able to understand agile development processes and communicate effectively about them with a variety of teams and leaders
• Where possible, agile coach will be 100% allocated to this role

• Work with multiple teams to determine their current level of Agile maturity, developing plans to improve Agile processes and increase the productivity of the delivery team accordingly
• Assist product teams with:
– Creating and maintaining collaborative communication sites and tools
– Chartering, boot camps, and other intensive trainings as required
– Running assessments to identify areas of improvement, and action plan for increased maturity
– Refining implementation of Agile best practices and tools
• Provide expert coaching to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Product Managers, as required
• Work with senior leadership, business, and other key stakeholders to understand the value of and engage with agile product development processes
• Assist with the identification, collection and reporting of agile practice metrics and measurements
• Organize and participate in agile events, contribute to communication sites/tools, deliver presentations to stakeholders across the organization
• Identify and work to resolve barriers to scaling use of agile

• Deep understanding of agile development processes and methodology
• Team-oriented, passionate about developing others’ skills and capabilities
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to develop productive working relationships with a wide variety of teams and leaders
• Deep experience in facilitation and corporate coaching
• Ability to work well with people with varying technical and business abilities
• Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
• Knowledge of agile project management tools
• High EQ

• Experience in agile coaching/mentoring role or project management role, change management experience preferred
• Recognized agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Coach

Accelerating agile maturity within agile teams 80%
• Mature, mobilize and launch agile teams
• Determine team’s current level of agile maturity
• Build out and iterate on development plans to improve agile ways of working and bring teams on to the common model
• Help Product Owner (PO) and Scrum Master (SM) break down complex problems
• Provide expert coaching and training on agile best practices and ways of working
– Conduct hands-on training on agile ways of working, agile principles, and common agile model
– Assist PO in backlog generation and prioritization
– Train SM on best practices for identifying, removing, and elevating impediments to team
– Implement tools and best practices supporting new ways of working
• Attend and participate in Sprint ceremonies, as needed, to help refine agile ways of working; scale-back engagement as maturity improves
• Identify, collect, and report agile performance metrics and measurements
• Communicate with business unit leadership on agile maturity and performance

Supporting agile enablement 20%
• Support Agile Center of Excellence (COE) to create a forum for best practice sharing
• Participate in broader agile coach community of practice across WMT
• Participate in training stakeholders and leaders on the importance of agile values and practices
• Refine and adapt agile playbook to capture best practices
• Help develop enablement solutions for scaling agile, test and monitor progress towards solution
