TITLE: Sr. Performance Engineer (Jmeter / Cloud )
LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA
DURATION: 6+ months
Compensation: DOE

Senior Performance Engineer with experience in Performance Testing using tools like
Jmeter , Java and Cloud experience ( Azure preferred )
Required Qualifications:-
- Experience in Performance testing, profiling, tuning and monitoring tools, especially testing tools such as Silk Performer, Apache JMeter, or LoadRunner
- Self-starter attitude required to experiment with new technologies, research technology trends and apply the results to performance problems
- Basic familiarity with continuous integration tools and frameworks like Jenkins, etc
- Strong experience with Web Services, and XML technologies (REST, SOAP, JAXB, WSDL, XML
- Experience with JAVA and SQL performance tuning experience (e.g. garbage collection, heap management, JVM Configuration, V$ table, explain plan, query optimization etc.
- Expert ability to identify performance issues within the J2EE architecture Load balancers, Weblogic, Database, Operating system , System, Network, Software (JAVA) and Hardware
- Excellent ability to partner with Architects, Developers, Systems Engineers and Database Administrators to collaboratively tune systems
- Exposure to Apache, Tomcat, VmWare, OpenStack technologies a PLUS
- Experience in some programming languages (using Java, C, SQL, Perl, Shell scripting, etc.) a PLUS
Responsibilities:-
- Work collaboratively with a large group of engineers from all disciplines within Engineering
- Test execution and reporting using Performance testing tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter
- Good Java expereince
- Present findings from tests to a group with varying degrees of technical expertise
- Proactively investigate site performance issues
- Respond to inquiries/requests around performance and availability coming from various teams within the organization
- Collaborate with key stake holders
- Research technology trends and apply the results to performance problems
- Experiment with new technologies
- Respond quickly to critical requests"
