Sr. Network Engineer

TITLE:  Sr. Network Engineer
LOCATION: San Jose, CA
DURATION: 6+ months
Rate: DOE

Duties: 

The Network Engineer will be responsible for all networking administration within the corporate IT data centers and remote offices. He/she will provide expert technical assistance to team members with high-level networking request. This role will be responsible for implementing and troubleshooting complex infrastructure. The position allows for participation in global projects, providing an opportunity for the individual to collaborate with colleagues from other Tivo sites which will require off-hours support, with occasional weekends and evenings as necessary. 

Responsibilities: 
  •  Architect and implement new environments and technologies.
  •  Provide support for all internal corporate IT networking devices.
  • Collaborate with global IT personnel to troubleshoot and resolve network related issues.
  •  Participate in global projects and initiatives, taking the lead on network based projects and problems when requested or as appropriate.
  • Assist in defining procedures and guidelines for network.
  • Review, analyze and execute network change requests.
  •  Must have strong technical skills as well as good communications skills. 
  •  The individual must learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Able to be eager to accept new responsibilities as the company grows.
  •   Able to lead and own Network related projects to completion.

Skills: 
  •  5+ years of switching and routing experience.
  •  10+ years of network experience running a corporate office network with multiple offices
  •  Hands on skills for Cisco IOS, Juniper and F5 Load Balancer.
  •  Documenting solutions with diagrams and proper description.
  •  Palo Alto Network Firewall or other Firewall management experience required.
  •  Knowledge and experience in managing Juniper, Cisco Routers, SSL-VPN, Cisco Wi-Fi and authentication servers.
  • Proficient knowledge of platform operating systems (router platforms, LAN, WAN, and router protocols) MPLS, OSPF, and BGP.
  • Experience with implementations of solutions involving large data centers, interoffice routing plans, site2site VPNs, FWs, IPSec, monitoring, etc. is a plus.
  • Experience with incident response, information assurance,monitoring, and techniques for analyzing TCP/IP network traffic and event logs.
  • English speaking and writing is a requirement
