We have following urgent role with our  DIRECT client

TITLE: Sr. Product Manager - eCommerce / Content Acquisition Solution
DURATION: 6+ months 
Compensation: Competitive ( DOE )


* This role will be focused on Creative Development process and initially on the automation of the Sample Acquisition process for one of the largest eCommerce company. Samples are for products, company and its suppliers sell on website.

Client has new "sample acquisition automated software solution" being rolled out and they need a Sr. Product manager to work cross functionally, with users, and with suppliers to implement and manage the process – the project surrounds marketing campaigns, they need pictures for these campaigns, they need samples for the pictures – they have lists of samples and list of studios/suppliers and it’s a very manual process to manage. A software is being implemented to solve this issue

Personality – need to be a people person! They will interface with users who may not be tech savvy and they need to sell them on the process
Ability to translate business needs and requirements into technical solution requirements – not looking for someone purely technical, but they need exp in rolling out a software and working cross-functionally
They need to understand the financial impact of utilizing a process such as this and need to be able to communicate this across the board.


As Product Manager, you will guide a group chartered to successfully develop, define and deliver a product line for client's eCommerce
*  This extends from increasing the viability of existing products to developing new products for the company
*  You must possess a unique blend of technical and business understanding; strategic planning, and the drive to deliver
*  You must be able to effectively communicate and build collaboration at all areas and levels of the business and engineering
*  The product manager will own the product line, build strong cross-functional relationships, and communicate both internally and externally

Required Qualifications 

•     8+ years of progressive product management experience
 •    Experience in iterative software delivery methodologies – Agile, SDLC, etc.
 •   Good understanding of overall item and order lifecycle for an ecommerce/retail  company
 •    Experience of working with large matrix organization
 *   Strong background in managing  software and Marketing products and/or solutions
 •    Technical background, or technical orientation; very comfortable with implementing new technology
 •    Evidence of “scrappy startup execution” and ‘get it done’ attitude
 •    Ability to manage through ambiguity, adversity and conflict to establish focus and deliver against business goals
 •    Excellent documentation skills
 •    Passionate about building functional and engaging user experiences
 •    Strongly collaborative and effective in a cross-functional environment
 • Bachelor’s degree in a technology, business discipline, or MBA a plus

Specific Responsibilities

Gather input from a variety of internal and external sources to define product concepts
  • Work in close collaboration with our engineers and business owners to manage product/project related tasks
  • Respond to the needs of customers throughout the development process
  • Develop detailed requirements, feature definitions and implementation plans
  • Compose clear, succinct user stories that capture user empathy as part of an Agile project framework
  • Manage product backlog and user story priorities
  • Participate on cross-functional teams during the entire lifecycle of product development
  • Proactively identify problems that arise, outline options, recommend solutions, and escalate as needed
  • Champion the needs of business teams and stakeholders throughout the development process, ensuring that what is delivered meets the original goals and objectives of the project
  • Convincingly communicate product solutions and benefits to customers and stakeholders
  • Hands on experience in converting business requirements into actionable requirement for engineering teams
  • Gather business requirements, Write BRDs, functional Specification, User flows, System flows, Technical Specification including API specifications · Define the metrics that measure product success, and use data to drive decisions
  • The Product Manager will be heavily involved with business and marketing teams in customer research activities including market research, usability testing, live on-site experiments, and analysis of site analytics
  • Aid in leading a team of highly technical developers & testers as part of an agile scrum team
