Java Engineer ( Server Side )

We have the following urgent requirement with our direct client:
 
Title:  Sr. Java Engineer ( Server Side )
Location: Bentonville, AR
Duration:  6+ months ( Contract to hire option available )
Compensation:  DOE


Note    
This position is likely to be a contract to hire  ( CTH ) option position.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 6 years experience building scalable ecommerce applications or mobile software
  • 8+ years’ experience in a development or architectural leadership role in a building web based Java EE services/applications.
  • Experience leading teams through the full life-cycle of software development through design, development, quality and deployment
  • Experience with SOA, Apache Camel, REST, Web-Services, JEE technologies, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle desirable 
  • Solid understanding of github and open source development culture in general. 
  •  Big Data solutions such as Cassandra, Spark, Kafka, Elastic Search and Solr.
  •  Strong SQL composition skills with Oracle and/or MySQL databases. 
  • A passion for all things web, including but not limited to, managing applications in the cloud, building and maintaining REST’ful api’s, database design, development and maintenance, network engineering, web performance, analytics and monitoring.

Position Description
  • Develops innovation strategies, processes, and best practices 
  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects 
  • Supports and ensures business objectives being met
  • Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design 
  • Leads the work of other small group of 3 to 4 engineers for assigned Engineering projects 
  • Leads and participates in end to end service implementations, data feeds ingestion, and orchestration
  • Designs and implements low latency services.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity 
  • Troubleshoots business and production issues 
  • Utilizes industry research to improve Wal-Mart's technology environment

 


Employee Referral Program:

We are hiring !
The Employee referral bonus is $500 per referral after the new full-time employee successfully completes 90 days.
The referral bonus for hourly contractor is $250 after the completion of 90 days.
However, managers who have hiring/team building as part of regular management duties are not eligible in the program.
