We are urgently looking following resource for our direct client

TITLE:  Cloud Platform Engineer -  Linux / PAAS / DevOps
LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA
DURATION: 6+ months 
Rate: DOE

Client Notes
  • Experience with openshift a plus
  • JAVA development a huge plus

Required Skill and Experience
  • Experience with Advanced Linux 
  •  Service catalog, virtualization, automation, orchestration (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Terraform), private and public cloud vendors, (e.g. AWS, Azure, OpenShift, GoogleCloud, Rackspace, etc.
  •  You have experience working with the likes of the following technologies: DNS, LDAP, TCP, Chef, Ansible, Sensu, Git, Jenkins, HAproxy etc. (Having managed large scale Ansible/Chef/Puppet infrastructure is a plus
  •  Versatility as demonstrated with troubleshooting diverse sets of hosting technologies (web server platforms, Java application platforms, operating systems, network components, virtualization technologies, database platforms) strongly desired
  •  Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment processes and tools such as IDEs (Eclipse), Source Code mgmt. (GIT/Stash), Jenkins, Maven, Nexus artifacts, etc.,
  •  Strong programming abilities with two or multiple languages - Python, Go, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, etc – Java or Ruby a huge plus!
  •  Expert level experience supporting production environments on Linux/Windows platforms
  •  Experience with Open Source based Devops tools for metrics based monitoring solutions (Sensu, Nagios, Kibana, Graphite), Log Management (Splunk, Graylog, ELK, Newrelic or similar), Container Management (Docker, or similar), Escalations Management (Pagerduty, or similar)

  •  Provide our partners with courteous and prompt support for our Open Sourced Application lifecycle management tool.
  •  Be an Operations Ninja! You thrive on finding the needle in the haystack problem
  •  Identify and troubleshoot recurring platform issues and engage and assist with resolution
  •  Work closely with our users to ensure platforms are designed with “Operability” in mind
  •  Respond to and complete customer requests within SLA via a JIRA ticketing system
  •  Participate in a 24*7 on-call rotation
