Multiple positions for Sr. Java  Back-End Engineer

We have the following urgent requirement with our direct client:
Title:  Sr. Java  Back-End Engineer 
Location: Bentonville - Sunnyvale - Reston, AR - CA - VA
Duration:  6+ months
Compensation:  DOE

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years’ experience in a development role in a building scalable, high performing Java services/applications.
  • • Experience with big data methodologies involving Hive/Hadoop/ Spark; 
    • Experience with Hadoop workflow management using Azkaban, Oozie, Hamake or Cascading
    • Hadoop stream processing using Storm/Spark 

    • Experience with no-sql technologies like Cassandra, couchbase, Flume or Hbase. 
    • Advanced scripting skills in at least one of the following: Python or Shell and willingness to learn new technologies 
    • Experience with Eclipse or other IDE development tools 
    • Experience with Continuous Integration and related tools (i.e. Jenkins, Hudson, Maven) 
    • Experience with Code Quality Governance related tools (Sonar, Gerrit, PMD, FindBugs, Checkstyle, Emma, Cobertura, etc) 
  • Experience building fast and responsive web applications
  •  2+ years’ experience in Agile Methodology

Position Description
  • Develops innovation strategies, processes, and best practices 
  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects 
  • Supports and ensures business objectives being met
  • Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design 
  • Leads the work of other small group of 3 to 4 engineers for assigned Engineering projects 
  • Leads and participates in end to end service implementations, data feeds ingestion, and orchestration
  • Designs and implements low latency services.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity 
  • Troubleshoots business and production issues 
  • Utilizes industry research to improve Wal-Mart's technology environment

Employee Referral Program:

We are hiring !
The Employee referral bonus is $500 per referral after the new full-time employee successfully completes 90 days.
The referral bonus for hourly contractor is $250 after the completion of 90 days.
However, managers who have hiring/team building as part of regular management duties are not eligible in the program.
