System Engineer for SW Integration

Roles and Responsibilities:

Document requirements, system architectures, system designs, test cases and acceptance criteria.
a. Support software implementation and integration working directly with the Software Engineering team.
b. Support product validation and production, working with Test Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Technical Publication groups.
c. Work with the Safety Engineer to fulfill the necessary Functional Safety requirements (ISO25119)
d. Support the Hardware Component Engineer with system integration and design validation (DV) issues.
e. Troubleshoot problems and develop root cause through hardware and software failure analysis and testing. Support plants, suppliers and customers to resolve issues.
f. Actively assist the Project Manager with managing external supplier(s) to ensure that their deliverables meet the project requirements and overall CNHi needs.
g. Conduct work item reviews with stakeholders and suppliers.
h. Incorporate and encourage the use of central standards, methodologies, and processes into the Engineering team's daily work tasks.
i. Actively communicate with external suppliers and internal customers regarding product development issues.
Minimum Requirements:
a. B.S.or M.S. in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience
b. Minimum 3 years of Systems Engineering and Requirements Management skills.
c. Minimum 2 years of Embedded Systems or Software design.
d. Minimum 2 years engineering experience in Off-Highway, Automotive, or Commercial vehicle industry or other highly process orientated systems engineering environment such as aerospace, medical equipment or cellular industries.
e. Minimum 1 year experience with CAN in-vehicle networking.

The ideal candidate will have:
a. Product development experience of in vehicle body control systems.
b. Extensive knowledge of in-vehicle communications architectures and protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN, J1939, ISOBUS, XCP, UDS, KWP2000, FlexRay, etc.).
c. Experience using Requirements Management tools such as Polarion or DOORS.
d. Experience with DFMEAs.
e. Knowledge of Functional Safety standards (e.g. ISO 26262, 25119, 13849).
f. Experience with Test design and development methodologies.
g. Experience developing and maintaining organization wide engineering standards and processes.
h. Experience with Hardware design.
i. Understanding of programming in C, C++, and structured software.
j. Experience using Model Based Development design using tools such as Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, or Embedded coder.
k. Understanding of Virtual prototyping / MIL / SIL / HIL principles.
l. Experience with network design and analysis tools such as Vector PREEvision, CANAlyzer, CANoe, and CANdela.
m. Experience with issue tracking and workflow tools such as Polarion, Bugzilla, ClearQuest, Trac, etc.
n. Experience with configuration management tools such as Subversion, SVN, Clearcase, Git, etc.
o. Experience with vehicle calibration using a tool such as ETAS INCA, Vector CANape, or dSPACE ControlDesk.
p. Project Management skills and experience.
