Description:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager professional in our Sunnyvale, CA office.



Duties: Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects for multiple teams including Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Affiliates, CRM and Display to identify bottlenecks early in the software development lifecycle. Familiarity working with Python, Hadoop, and SQL and have the capability to estimate work needed for features involving big data. Understand and write engineering requirement documents for new software features for Wal-Mart’s SEM Dashboard. Support Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts to dynamically modify keywords and product ad bids across top search engine providers and construct data pipelines using Object-Oriented Principles, R, Python, and SQL. Facilitate software engineering meetings and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) sessions with Software Developers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product and Marketing Teams to resolve software feature requirement related questions and troubleshoot ongoing incidences. Develop engineering roadmaps to estimate the engineering time needed to develop complex software features that use Hive, Hadoop, Spark, and other big data tools. Generate JIRA and Tableau reports on engineering deliverables for Engineering Managers and Product and Marketing Teams on the status of new software features being added to SEM dashboards as well as understanding the progress of the Engineering Team. Improve engineering efficiency and productivity of Engineers by identifying process related bottlenecks and resolving them using Lean Methodologies. Implement Agile principles in the team, run sprint retrospectives, and assist Engineers in creating epics and user stories to manage the engineering workload of the team. Plan and monitor information technology project progress to ensure that business implications for each stage, deadlines, and standards are being met. This position does not supervise employees.



Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 5 years of technical program management or technical project management experience; OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 2 years of years of technical program management or technical project management experience; OR 7 years of technical program management or technical project management experience.



Skills required: Experience using Agile and JIRA to keep up with software development and product roadmap timelines. Experience performing data analysis using Python, Hadoop, SQL, and Java. Experience building and delivering technology products in a high growth environment. Experience building customer focused technical products and delivering information technology initiatives from conception through completion. Experience using scripting languages SQL, Python and R to execute data manipulations and ETL processes (Extracting, Transforming, and Loading) of large-scale data. Experience executing data analysis and identifying insights using Tableau and SQL. Experience developing technical documents and reports including Engineering roadmaps, Data Analytics roadmaps, and DevOps roadmaps for new software features.
